S.Manjunath --- Salute to the Martyr

On 19th the much unknown sales officer of IOCL posted at Lakhimpur Khiri under Bareilly Office was brutally murdered by a few people connected with the retail outlet. He was punished for sealing Mittal Automobile Petrol Pump at Gola, about 50 km away from Lakhimpur district for adulteration of petrol. Needless to say the murder refreshed the memories of murder of Stayendra Dubey - the unfotunate IITian who did the whistle blowing against the corruption on the Golden quadrilateral . Manjunath's death has outraged one and all. In a country like India that ranks 88 in the corruption index Manjunath's heroic act was rewarded by the indiffrent , apathetic treatment by the media. Just search for any insignificant news on google and you will get plenty of pages from diffrent news agency but type Manjunath IOCL and you will see how the news has disappeared ( or cleared) from the electronic media.
